The birthday of Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin) is celebrated on the nineteenth day of the sixth month of the lunar calendar. Each year, celebration for approximately 3 weeks is held with stage shows, singing and dancing performances as well as singing competition. 農曆三月初九,儀式由新堯灣儀式專家引導坡眾舉行,包含上香、請神、敬酒、奏表、祈願、答謝及退座等。儀式以金紙謝神,但大量燒化銀紙致鬼。儀式的末尾是搶孤,燃放炮竹後,眾人一陣狂搶,十分熱鬧。最後將豬羊載至慈善社分切,總理與福首皆分得豬肉一長條,其他則烹煮,作為全體參與者之午餐。
